Host Catalytic Converter Anti-Theft Etching Event

Saturday, September 9th from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

AAA Car Care- Mansell

Why:

The purpose of this event is to help deter theft of catalytic converters, which have been on the rise in the metro Atlanta area. Catalytic converter replacement costs $1000 or more. That's why AAA is hosting a free one-day event where a qualified technician will apply a non-removable label with a unique ID number which will be uploaded to a secure international tracking database that can be accessed by law enforcement and recyclers.

This valuable service is available to both AAA members and nonmembers; however, an appointment is required ahead of time.

Viewers can scan the QR code to reserve their catalytic converter appointment.

Interviews & Visuals: Representatives and spokespersons from AAA Georgia and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office will be available for interviews during the event.
