AAA Hosts TSA PreCheck Events Throughout Florida

The Auto Club Group is making travel more convenient for Florida residents by hosting TSA PreCheck® enrollment events at its AAA branches. AAA membership is not required to participate, and residents are encouraged to sign up in advance to secure an appointment by visiting TSA Enrollment by IDEMIA.

These events provide a local opportunity for travelers to enroll in the popular expedited screening program. The enrollment fee is $76.75, covering a five-year membership if approved.

“This is a convenient way to enroll in TSA PreCheck, which will enable you to bypass those long security lines at the airport,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “By bringing these enrollment events to local neighborhoods, we are saving people a trip to the airport. You don’t have to be a AAA member to participate; we just encourage residents to sign up in advance.”

TSA PreCheck offers a smoother screening experience at more than 200 U.S. airports. Enrolled members benefit from dedicated security lanes and are not required to remove shoes, belts, light jackets, laptops, or 3-1-1 compliant liquids from their bags.

The enrollment process is simple. Applicants can start by submitting an application online and scheduling an appointment at a convenient AAA location. The in-person enrollment takes less than 10 minutes and includes fingerprinting and a photo. Participants must bring documents proving their identity and citizenship. Most approved applicants receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) in about three to five days.
