AAA TO OFFER TSA PRECHECK ENROLLMENT AT OMAHA AND BELLEVUE BRANCHES

AAA – The Auto Club Group, Nebraska will be hosting TSA PreCheck® enrollment events in collaboration with IDEMIA, an authorized TSA PreCheck® enrollment provider, during the month of August.

Travelers will be able to enroll or renew their TSA membership at one of two locations. 

1. AAA Bellevue Branch Office, 3905 Twin Creek Drive Suite 103, Bellevue, NE 68123:

Monday August 5^th through Friday August 9^th from 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm each day.

2. AAA Omaha Clocktower Branch Office, 815 N 98th St. Omaha, NE 68114:

Monday, August 12^th through Friday August 16^th from 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm each day.

The TSA PreCheck® application program is open to U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, and Lawful Permanent Residents. This event is open to all, you do not need to be a AAA member to take advantage of this TSA Event. Walk-ins are welcomed but appointments will be prioritized.

“AAA expects air travel to set new records for continued summer and year-end holiday trips,” said Brian Ortner, spokesman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “This means crowded airports and potentially longer lines at TSA security checkpoints, so we encourage travelers interested in bypassing the general line to visit our AAA offices for this time saving travel opportunity.”

The enrollment process is quick, convenient, and even faster when the application is completed online beforehand.  During the in-person appointment, applicants are required to provide identity and citizenship documents, fingerprints and a photo will be captured, and then pay for the application fee. IDEMIA offers TSA PreCheck® enrollment for $85 and if approved, travelers will be enrolled in a five-year membership with the program.

Following the in-person enrollment appointment, most applicants receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) in about three to five days. The KTN number must be added to flight reservations to enjoy TSA PreCheck® benefits. 

TSA PreCheck® was created October 2011 to provide low-risk travelers with a smoother experience through airport security. It’s a great option for travelers looking to save time. Enrolled members have access to TSA PreCheck® dedicated screening lanes at over 200 participating U.S. airports nationwide, and 99% of members wait 10 minutes or less in a screening lane. TSA PreCheck®passengers’ travel with ease by keeping their shoes, belts and light jackets on.  They also can keep their laptops, along with 3-1-1 liquids and food items in their bags.
