Minnesota Gas Prices Continue Downward Momentum

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (November 10, 2024) –  Gas prices in Minnesota are down 4 cents from last week. Minnesotans are now paying an average of $2.95 per gallon for regular unleaded.

This price is 19 cents lower than this time last month and 29 cents less than this time last year. “The statewide average has hit and remained below $3 per gallon at $2.95 in Minnesota, and we can expect to continue this steady, downward momentum throughout Minnesota communities”, said Brynna Knapp, spokesperson for AAA.

Looking back at historic averages in Minnesota, gas prices have remained relatively sticky this year—making 2024 a decent year for driving, travel, and leisure for Minnesotans. “Just over two years ago, the price per gallon in Minnesota reached $4.76, so we’ve been able to enjoy prices at a lower level and expect this momentum to continue”, said Knapp.
