Minnesota Gas Prices Down Slightly

Minnesotans gear up for winter and see slow downturn in prices

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (October 28, 2024) – Gas prices in Minnesota are down 3 cents from last week. Minnesotan drivers are now paying an average of $3.05 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is 1 cent lower than this time last month and 34 cents less than this time last year. “As fall travel winds down and Minnesotans begin to hunker down for winter, demand will continue to shift and Minnesotans can expect slight drops in prices in the coming weeks,” said Brynna Knapp, spokesperson for AAA.

AAA updates fuel price averages daily at www.GasPrices.AAA.com. Every day up to 130,000 stations are surveyed based on credit card swipes and direct feeds in cooperation with the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and Wright Express for unmatched statistical reliability. All average retail prices in this report are for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline.
